About JGC Videography

Creating cinematic wedding films and commercial content across Belfast and Northern Ireland.

A Belfast-Based Videography Studio

JGC Videography is a Belfast-based videography studio working across weddings and commercial projects throughout Northern Ireland and beyond.

Our work is centred around capturing moments as they naturally unfold, with a focus on atmosphere, detail, and story.

What We Do

For weddings, we create films that go beyond simply documenting the day. Each one is carefully shaped to reflect the people, the setting, and the feeling of the moment.

Alongside weddings, we work with venues and brands to produce cinematic content that captures spaces, experiences, and the character of a place.

Our Approach

Our approach is simple, to be present without being intrusive.

We film in a way that allows the day or project to unfold naturally, capturing real moments as they happen rather than forcing or over-directing them.

The result is work that feels honest, relaxed, and true to the people and places it represents.

Craft and Detail

Every project is carefully considered in both filming and editing. From composition and movement to sound and pacing, each element is shaped to create a film that feels complete and timeless.

Whether it is a wedding or a commercial project, the same level of attention and care is applied throughout.

Why It Matters

The end result is more than just a video.

It is something to return to, to relive, to share, and to experience again over time.

About James

James has been creating content for over a decade. It started off as a personal adventure which slowly grew into a passion that could be pursued as a career.

Once that decision was made it was very clear where James was going to try & take this business & is continuing to do so to this day.

Due to creating content for such a long time, James naturally has an eye for gorgeous shot composition & storytelling throughout his videos & films. When you're looking to create engaging content that's going to capture the viewers attention & keep them there through a well told story video, James is your go to film maker.

While creating content originally as a hobby, James worked various jobs including a barista in a coffee shop & PRing for a nightclub in Belfast. It's through these jobs he's been able to keep his extroverted personality in tune which he brings to every shoot. Your shoot/film should be enjoyable and not feel awkward or uncomfortable! That's the exact atmosphere James brings with him. His clients & couples reiterate this on the day & through reviews which pushes James to keep creating the best work he can.

So, if you're looking to create some engaging content and want to discuss it further. Let's do it! It's time to get your content idea out of that head & into the digital world for everyone to admire!

Personal Life

James draws inspiration from movies, which sharpen his eye for composition and storytelling.

A lover of sport, he plays hockey and padel & occasionally hits the golf course. Socialising with friends, creating memories, and spending time with family — especially Sunday roasts and seasonal gatherings — are central to his life.

Recently married in Portugal in 2025 to his wife Chloe, James understands firsthand the pressures of planning a wedding, and brings that empathy to make your planning & day as smooth as possible.

A keen traveller, James has explored countries across Europe, America, and Asia, bringing a worldly perspective to every project.

When you work with James, expect fun, relaxed energy combined with professional, polished film content — whether for your wedding or your business.

About Nathan

Founder of Verosia Studio, supporting the commercial and digital side of JGC Videography

Alongside JGC Videography, Nathan Cranston supports the studio’s commercial work and digital development.

As founder of Verosia Studio, he works with venues, brands, and independent businesses to help them show up online, attract the right audience, and turn that attention into enquiries and bookings.

The focus is on creating content with purpose,  not just producing video, but making sure it’s supported by strong foundations like search visibility, clear messaging, and a website that converts. From how content is structured and presented, to how it performs across platforms, everything is considered as part of a wider system.

Working in partnership with JGC Videography, this allows clients to go beyond video alone, combining cinematic content with website, search, and ongoing content to create a more complete and joined-up approach.

For commercial clients, this creates a more considered and long-term approach to content and growth.

After a week of filming our Climate change Event in April, James was so easy to work with and delivered professional work that we have been able to showcase on our YouTube channel for viewers around the world.   Each event had different speakers discussing their area of expertice on climate efforts. James recorded this into full length videos and then also a highlight film of the week as hole.   Thank you James

Various locations around Northern Ireland

James was extremely easy to work with and helped us capture several events over the course of a year. We gave him the moments that were key to capture and not one was missed.   All of the events were then compiled into a long highlight film that we were able to showcase at an end of year event to colleagues and participants to celebrate the project. We'll be using James on the next project that comes across our table.
